Community spirit, good food, and a powerful mission came together in Poplar Bluff this February as Borrowed Time Real Estate proudly helped kick off the 20th Annual Mason-Dixon Chili Cook-Off — and brought home an award while doing it.
On February 28th, the Borrowed Time Real Estate team hosted their booth at the event as the “Heat Heroes,” serving up chili and welcoming visitors throughout the day. The event featured free admission, encouraging families, community members, and local supporters to gather together for a cause that truly matters.
Even better? Every donation made during the event directly supports the work of the United Gospel Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping men rebuild their lives.
By the end of the cook-off, Borrowed Time Real Estate had helped raise $1,500 for the United Gospel Rescue Mission, earning 1st Place for Fundraising Donations at the event.
The team proudly kept the plaque for bragging rights — but donated the award check back to the cause. Because at the end of the day, it wasn’t about winning. It was about helping.
